Meet the Team
North Shore Pontoon Center
We are ready to make your experience with us a great one!
We build long lasting and personal relationships with our customers.
North Shore Pontoon Center LLC was founded in 2000. Since that time, the company has grown into one of the most successful Avalon and Tahoe dealers in the United States. We are a multiple time Dealer of the Year award winner and also an annual National Gold Dealer Recipient.
Our continued growth is a direct result of our superior customer service. At North Shore Pontoon Center, we build long lasting and personal relationships with our customers. As a result, the loyalty we see is unmatched in the business. In a competitive market place, it's these kinds of relationships that separate us from the pack.
We work, live, and play in the community we service. Because of this, it is always our goal to make the experience fun, memorable, and hassle free. Boating is for pleasure, and your time spent with us will be too.
From the sales, to our full service maintenance department, our promise to you is an honest, smiling face. We aim to please at every level in order to get and to keep you on the water!
Brent Hopson, Co-Owner
I was married in 1995 and am a proud father of two adult sons. In the fall of 2020, the opportunity to purchase North Shore from Doug Haskell was presented to me by my friend Troy. Much like Troy, I reached a point where I wanted to exit Corporate America. After my wife and I moved to our lake house in November 2020, Troy approached me about becoming business partners and it was a dream come true. Troy and I worked alongside Doug to experience the business prior to executing the purchase in April 2021.

I was married in 1996 and am a proud father of two adult daughters. Purchasing North Shore from Doug Haskell was in the making for quite some time. Having grown up on the same lake with Doug Haskell and his family, I have known him since I was 12 years old. Not only have I been friends with his sons since childhood, but my parents have been close friends with Doug and Kathy since I can remember. Following a successful Corporate career, I reached a point where I wanted to be able to live at the lake and pursue what I am truly passionate about (the water and everything to do with it). I began talking with Doug about one and a half years ago about his exit strategy from North Shore ownership and we had many conversations about what that looked like for him and how we could make my dream a reality. Starting mid last summer 2020, I started working alongside Doug to learn the intricacies of his business. In the fall of 2020, I approached my friend Brent to see if he would be interested in being partners on this business to which he was ecstatic. Between late fall of 2020 and April 2021, we began to take the necessary steps to acquire ownership of North Shore while keeping Doug contractually on board for 1 year to ensure a smooth transition with the option for a second and third year on a consultative basis.
